Thanos Daskalopoulos is a Greek tap dancer, body music artist, and educator working at the intersection of rhythm, improvisation, and movement.
After early studies in music and dance in Greece, and a formative experience in New York’s tap scene, he dedicated himself to percussive dance. He has been deeply influenced by his long-term collaborations with Heather Cornell and body music pioneer Keith Terry.
Thanos has performed internationally, including Off-Broadway in New York, and collaborates across jazz, contemporary dance, and theater. His work explores the body as both musician and mover, blurring the line between sound and dance.
He co-founded PLAYGROUND for the Arts in Athens and teaches tap and body music worldwide.
